Glad to hear you survived the big hurricane and your bus trip. Quite the adventure. We had our first frost and first light snow recently. Stephen is doing well at MTA - got a 96 on his Japanese midterm exam so he is very happy with that. The food in the dining hall is apparently better than home but he still drops by for snacks out of our fridge and cupboards. Louisa is busy redecorating his old room. Hope you have time to relax and happy sailing once you hit the water.

Hi everyone, finally able to send you all some pictures, we now have the engine running A-1, had to remove the starter and clean the bendix, and then remove the air intake to get the Butterfly valve freed up.
Now she is all bled and running smooth like new.

Helped Pat pick up his mast materiel this AM, and now we just need our boat papers and we are off to the Rio...

Guess you will have to kind of sort the pictures out to place them in sequence, sorry about that.

Dick, Transcribed last entry. Glad to here all is well. I'm at Tim's camp for the week. Incidentally, I found that missing nut for the mast hauler in the back of my truck as I suspected,,,,I put it back on the bolt in the boat house.

Got your message, so it is higher here, finally ran out of memory at 159 pictures, was desperate went and bought a 32meg but it would not work in our camera (card error)... so went back and the shop owner came over and we put in a 24 meg and it worked, the 32 worked in his camera so looks like our camera will only go to 24 meg. Since I had already paid for the 32, I had a credit, so I bought a flash card reader that plugs into the USB port. This way we will never be stuck again. He also transferred all the pictures (jpegs) to a floppy for me.

I just called Staples....Flash Card info is - 16m=$29.26, 32m=$49.46, 64m=$79.99, 128m=$149.68....all Cdn of course. I knew the prices were down, but obviously that hasn't caught up to where you are. There was no software with our card adapters, so I guess your computer wasn't reloaded properly.

Found a Konica store here and they have flash cards, same as the one in my digital camera 16 meg for US$42 and a 32 for US$62+ this also includes a software to download to the camera, how does the price compare to Staples? please let me know before I bite the bullet and buy. I presently have 160 pics on the card and cannot download, going to be in trouble soon, next place I will probably find another card will be in Houston on the way home on Dec 17!!! let me know I will come back on tonite again.

Have just come across you site while looking for a supplier in Toronto for parts for our ports. We have purchased a 37ft Perry, built in Vancouver and hope to take off in 18 months. Hi everyone, Hauled Whitecap on Monday Apr 30 and she is now on the "hard", until my return at the end of October.
The sand surface is almost like sugar, and the lift got stuck for a few minutes of agony... in the fall we will use short planking and build a "cordroy" road for the travel lift to walk on.
Arrived Miami May 1 at 16:00, spent the night at Miami Beach, May 2 flew United to Washington and Boston, then Air Nova to Halifax arriving at 23:30, Richard Ben and Alix came along shortly after and we spent the night at the Ramada arriving back on PEI late Thursday afternoon.
The snow is almost all gone and the grass is green, but the woodstove feels good at night...

What was the lowest vertical height on any bridge you encountered between Grand Rivers, Ky and Galveston, Texas?
I want to make the trip in a 41' Morgan OI and I believe the mast heigth is 55'. I would be very appreciative of the info.

Belated Happy Birthday Alix. I bet you and Ben and Mom and Dad are having a great time. I follow your Grampy's travels quite regularly. He's having WAY TOO MUCH FUN. We're having a great Spring here - blue skies, frozen lake. Skiing and ski dooing on the lake is perfect now. I've got a great tan on my cheeks and nose. We camped out 25 km down Great Slave Lake over Easter and slept under a tarp. -15 at night, but we were toasty! Maybe you'll come North sometime soon???
