Very interesting to read about your voyage. Patrick and I check in now and then after Emily and Alexander have gone to school. This is a message posted for Whitecap to the Guest Book. Easter Monday, we are still in San Pedro, Ben and Alix asre taking a diving lesson on the reef this AM, I cleaned out the freezer, and got it up and running again, will try and have it cold before we leave here today. Probably will not get further than Long Cay, there is a place called Castaways Lodge there and a sheltered anchorage.
Instructions for big Michelle to correct the last message: Mom will be arriving in Hfx at 23:30 on the 20th. Please note, not the 21st. sshe is behind me giving instructions.
Grumpy, Jaun Manuel and Judy, from Isla Mujeres arrived here yesterday afternoon and are tied up alongside us, nice to see them again. They were plagued by the strong winds and spent 4 -5 days at each stop...
We will be in Moho Caye again Tuesday night or Wednesday AM for everyones flight out.

Today is Saturday, Apr 14, we arrived in San Pedro at 14:00 after spending the night at Caye Caulker last night. The trip from Corazol was not particuarily fun, we had 30+kt on the nose and could only maintain 2 Kts speed. Richard and familty arrived on Wed as scheduled, we saw these 4 white people loaded down with bags walking along the roadway, and wondered who they were... Turns out they forgot to bring money for a taxi.

We left Corazol on Thursday morning and made it 18 miles to a small village called Sartenja (sar-ten-aa-ah) and they were having their annual Easter workboat regatta, in 30+Kts!!! we were content to watch.
We will stay here at San Pedro until Sunday and head got Porto Stuck and maybe English Cay befor heading to Moho Cay for haulout. Mary will be flying out on the 20th, overnight in Houston and will be in HFX on the 21st, please let Big Michelle know. I am staying until everything is settled on the hard, and then will head out for Miami.

Bill sent a bunch out today, hope it went OK, we are on Corazol tied to the small cemrnt wharf, hard on dock lines!!! have to use pieces of plastic pipe where they rub...

Winds are 30+ hope they go down at least until we get back out 25 miles to "Rocky Point Light" then we will be behind Ambergris Cay and on a broad reach.

Hi guys,
Talked to John Benson the other day while he was repairing the results of his lightning strike and he reminded me that I hadn't checked up on your progress lately. Imagine my surprise to find you in Belize city, because I took a dive team down there a couple of years ago. It will be interesting to swap stories with a different point of view. For instance, one of the specialties there was a hot and sour soup that was made from habenero peppers and a small bowl took at least three large drafts to consume. Later!

Still in Moho Caye, the surveyor is coming today, we will meet Richard and family at Corozal near the border.
on the 11th. Please pass the word to make sure they get the message.
The winds are 25+ these days, last night we had a cat climb aboard at midnight, he jumped up on the v berth and caused quite a consternation until I realised what it was. It came off the CDN catamaran from 7 Islands PQ.
I had to carry him off twice, hope he is safe, there is a crocodile on the island only 100 ft away from the boats...
Having fun, going to town again today.

Hello Whitecap and Crew!!

Well...as of March 18th at 8:38am, Cindy and Evan are the proud new Aunt and Uncle of a brand new 8lb 8oz _healthy_ baby GIRL (hee hee) named Jordan Lyn Sullivan :)

Just to give the quick timeline:
March 15: Sonya's Doctor said she was 1cm dialated
March 17 (shortly after 10pm): Sonya's water broke
11pm: Made it into the hospital = 2-3cm dialated
March 18 @ 3am: Sonya recieved an epidural (sp?)
3am-7am: Jim slept!
7am: Hard Contractions started
8:38am: Jordan Lyn smiled upon the world!!! (8 days early)

According to Jim, she has black hair, Sonya's lips and is a very long baby. Grammpy and Grammy Sullivan are currently travelling down to Saint John and will give me (Aunt Karen :) more details this evening, which I'll post here.

Hi everyone!
We made it after an 1.5 hour flight delay out of Halifax. It worked out though since Mary and Dick were at the wrong airport for an hour or so before they discovered where we were landing.
Whitecap is in great shaped, the weather is beautiful, and the water is warm. I can really appreciate what Dick was saying about the waves at the entrance to the marina, hopefully the wind will change soon. Until then we can swim with dolphins, do some snorkling, etc, or just relax with our hosts.

Hi everyone, we are still in Peurto Aventuras, quite a place here hard to tear away... Getting the virus problems fixed on the laptop, it infected 39 files some of which were the send receive part, hence the problem sending!!!
Hope to get out tomorrow Sunday for Tulum, then Bahai Espiritu Sancto, Chincherro Bank and then Xcalak where we check out to Belize, and where there is the only phone for the next 4 days. Will meet Cindy and Evan in San Pedro, they should be able to ferry to there from Chetumul or Belize City.

True to your nature your a great host and a true gentleman.Everybody raved about how nice you treated such distant relatives and made them feel very comfortable and at ease.My father did not wish to impose or put you to any trouble. My father has been following your adventure and passed your webpage along to me. I recently tuned in and have quickly becomehooked,reading everything from your guest book to your kitchen remodeling.I have friends visiting P.E.I. this year with the hope of buying a home and possibly relocating there permanently. Since we have had no joy getting your regular e-mail working, I set up a new Hotmail account for you and will post the address on the web site front page. The address is < dickwedge@hotmail.com >, so your sign-in is simply "dickwedge" (all one word); your password is the same old thing, but add 123 at the end, as it required a certain number of characters. I checked it and it worked fine. I know we quit using Hotmail before, but that was because we were on a cell phone; try this one from your next cafe. I will leave a note in there to show you it works.
