Sorry about this, spent the day building the new wire for the alternator bought 6 ft #2 and new ends at Mar marine, soldered the hole thing together, disconnected the ground wires on both battery banks, climbed in over the engine replaced the other wire with both new, re-connected the batteries, changed the fuel filter and suddenly realized it was 15:30, enough for today. Will have to take a second shower tonight to get the black off me!!!

Hello Again, The girls won the Island Championship tonight!! Michelle wasn't able to be there because she is in Ottawa. She is very disappointed that she missed out but happy for the team since it is her last year playing. The meeting went horrible tonight!! Help it isn't looking good. IRAC is set up for May17,18,19th, 2004. Last council meeting will be the April 19th. You guys should be home for the final one. Can't wait till it is over. Have fun only 15 more days and you will be back on little old P.E.I. We will be back on the 18th so see you then! Love,

Just sending a bunch of pictures and latest updates, been half hour and only one sent so far, things are slow today here.
Alan on Starsong sailed up the river yesterday, we are going to Dim Sum for lunch today.
Think I have finally figured out the charging problems... we presently have a size 0 wire from the alternator to the starter, which of course takes the charge to the start batteries, I am going to remove that wire, and make a new one which will go over to the house bank instead. This should send the charge there first, which is what we want to do. The start bank never goes down anyway!!!
We are starting to pack things up for home, plan to head to Guate City on the 13th, flight to Newark is on the 15th

Hi everyone, we are in San Pedro Sula, arrived yesterday afternoon after a 4 hr van ride from the Rio. We had a very good driver but he was in a hurry, as the frontier crossing closed at 18:00 so he had to be back into Guatemala before then. The Guate road was good but as soon as we hit the border it turned into dirt/mud/puddles (lakes???) and 8 Bailly bridges before we arrived in Omoa near Puerto Cortez. The road from there to Sula was an "Autopisto" toll road.
Richard and family left for the aeroporto at 06:00, they will be home in PEI tonight.
We have changed our plans, and are now going by bus to Tela, a beachfront tourist resort near La Ceiba, for a day or so and then up to Copan.
Will keep you posted.
Congrats Michael, Happy birthday "little" Michelle, if you keep going you will catch up to Grammy...

Hi Mom & Dad, Everyone and everything here is fine. Just thought you might like to know that Michael's Hockey team won the Island Championship on Sunday afternoon. They were pretty excited. That makes a Provincial Soccer & Hockey Championship in a year. Marie's team is starting their championship run on Wednesday night to defend last years Island Championship title. Sarah & Jennifer's team are both retired. Hope you are having fun, you are in our thoughts daily.

Arrived back at our dock last night (Sunday) at 16:00 with 3 gallons fuel left in the tank... Spent the late afternoon at Chiquis sunset bar. All is well. Leaving early tomorrow Tuesday for San Pedro Sula, Honduras with Richard, Maureen and kids to catch their flight on Wednesday AM. Mary and Dick going off to Copan for a few days, then will return to Whitecap.

Hi everyone, we are anchored in the harbour at Utila, there were 17 yachts three yesterday when we came in at 14:00. Some we met before and new ones, all seem to be heading for Belize and the Rio Dulce. Spent the whole day waiting on the Port Captain and Immigration officer to come off siesta... Finally only finished at 14:49.
We will be leaving here around 06:00 for Puerto Escondito.
Carolyn, would you please ask Jeff if he can do a run to Pedro Sula on Tuesday next for the 6 of us? Richard's family fly out on Wednesday AM and Mary and I are going off to Copan for a few days.
Found a way to get the mast shipped for Stu, just have to find a way now from Puerto Cortez to the Rio.
All is well, Maureen and the kids went diving this AM and PM.
Ait temp 90 but nice breeze for once on the stern....

Hi everyone, Richard Maureen , Ben and Alix arrived safely last evening around 8PM. Mary and I went to "Hole in the Wall" in Jonesville for lobster and steak b'bque yesterday afternoon, and were back in lots of time to have a few drinks before our guests arrived. Whitecap can still sleep 6 people!!!. They are all going diving this AM, I will busy myself fueling up and other stuff.
Weather here hazy today, air temp 86F, going to be a hot one...

We use to live on Glovers shore in one of your houses, next to your Dad, that was many years ago,  my husband was in the air force, we think of you all so often, especially when you got stuck on the ferry in winter with all the pups, we remember Taffy very well.  Hoping to travel your way this spring or Fall. Just finished reading your adventure. Sounds like real fun. I thought of doing the same thing in the future. I own a 30 foot Morgan 1968 and love it. We sail on Lake Superior. So it was especially nice to here how bullet proof the 34 Morgan is. Goof luck and happy sailing. Thanks.

Arrived French Harbour yesterday afternoon, on the nose all day again. Wanted to go to Calabash Bight but developed an exhaust leak and house bank not charging properly again. Will switch the wires on the automatic pathmaker change bank 1 to 2 and visa versa. Group here is organising a panga to "Hole in the Wall" for Sunday dinner. Will be back here before you arrive. Alls well. Lost my out e-mails last night!!! Think I have the laptop problem solved, it seems to be the Com1 plug for the GPS. Boot up with it unplugged everything OK then plug it in and everything works.

We will arrive in Coxen Hole aboard TACA Flight 150 at 6:20. Will hire cab and go to Roatan Yacht Club. Plans to scuba for a few days, then sail to Utila scuba a few days then off to the Rio Dulce. Sound good? Will bring alternate laptop and supplies. Look for scuba deals. See you in five days.

We are in La Cieba, arrived last night after a long uphill drive and only 5 gal fuel left!!! We will leave here for Roatan tomorrow AM (Tuesday) via Cayos Cochinos then Calabash Bight. Will have Whitecap at French Harbour YC. You just have to take a taxi to the French Harbour Dive and Yacht Club. Taxi's are small here, only carry 4 passengers.
Cannot seem to send mail today, also have a mouse problem, she is opening and closing programs at will. Charlie says hola (translated with great difficulty from his various chirp chirps.

WE are in Livingston, just finished checking out.. Customs, walk to Port Captain get his stamp, pay Q60, walk to Immigration get their stamp pay US$20. Stop at the Happy Fish for a coffee and internet and we are gone.
Having trouble with the laptop, doing strange things yesterday, I am afraid.... Richard bring the old IBM laptop, I have the charts here. The juicer is on top of the buffet, it is grey aluminum cast, with bowl and handle is about 12".
Leaving here in 20 minutes or so. weather is good now but may come up later will try for at least Cabo Tres Puntas, only 15 miles but important ones for up wind.
